After achieving great success with models like the X-Cape 650 and the stripped-down family (SCR and STR), Moto Morini is setting its sights on the world of custom motorcycles, and today, they proudly introduce the Moto Morini Calibro for 2024. The Calibro marks Moto Morini’s official re-entry into the custom motorcycle arena, a realm where they played a significant role back in the 1980s (who could forget the Excalibur?). This exciting development serves as a tantalizing preview of what’s to come at EICMA 2023, where the eagerly anticipated maxi X-Cape 1200 will also be unveiled.

To further establish its presence in this market and explore the latest custom trends, Moto Morini has established a dedicated center in California.
The brand-new Moto Morini Calibro, designed at Moto Morini’s European Style Center in Trivolzio by their skilled Italian team, the same minds behind the X-Cape, SCR, and STR, is destined to win the hearts of custom enthusiasts and beyond.
With a blend of modern design elements and nostalgic touches, such as the metal fuel tank and the distinctive all-LED headlights bearing the unmistakable Moto Morini signature lighting, the Calibro caters to a wide audience.
The Engine
Powering the new Moto Morini Calibro is the trusty 649 cc twin-cylinder engine already found in the Morini range. It has been finely tuned to provide a seamless low-rev response, ensuring smooth performance and easy maintenance, thanks to the use of a toothed belt in the final drive.
The frame consists of a double steel cradle enveloping the engine, paired with 18″ tubeless aluminum wheels at the front and 16″ at the rear, while dual rear shocks evoke a vintage aesthetic.
Seating And Display
The seat, which can be removed at the rear, features contrasting stitching and an optional rear scoop that seamlessly extends the mudguard line, adding a touch of elegance. The seat sits at a comfortable height of just 720 mm off the ground.
The new Moto Morini Calibro boasts a blend of analog instrumentation and a digital display that provides essential riding information, including fuel level and gear level indicators.
Power
The bike will be available in a high-power version, producing around 60 hp, and a restricted 48 hp variant tailored for A2 license holders. Moto Morini also plans to offer a variety of accessories to enable riders to customize the Calibro in the traditional custom style.

While the price will be disclosed at a later date, it is expected to be competitively priced at less than €8,000.
