Jeep is introducing some exciting changes to its Compass lineup. The 2WD diesel variant with an automatic transmission now comes with an attractive price tag of Rs 23.99 lakh.
Previously, the diesel automatic was exclusively available with all-wheel drive, but now it’s also an option for front-wheel drive, making it substantially more affordable by about Rs 6 lakh compared to before.
In addition to this, Jeep has undertaken a revision of the entry-level pricing for the Compass, effectively lowering it to a starting point of Rs 20.49 lakh (ex-showroom).
This price adjustment aligns with the brand’s commitment to providing value to its customers. Simultaneously, Jeep has introduced the all-new Black Shark variant, adding visual enhancements and updates for the MY2024 model.
Jeep Compass 2WD Powertrain
The Jeep Compass lineup now offers a range of five trim levels, catering to diverse preferences: Sport, Longitude, Longitude+, Limited, and Model S. It is worth noting that the Sport trim continues to serve as the entry-level offering, exclusively paired with a diesel-manual powertrain.

Powering these remarkable models is Jeep’s robust 2.0-liter MultiJet diesel engine, capable of delivering an impressive 170PS of power and a substantial 350Nm of torque in the 2WD configuration.
The automatic transmission employed is a sophisticated nine-speed gearbox, consistent with the offerings available in the higher-tier 4WD AT versions. Remarkably, Jeep boasts an impressive 0-100kmph acceleration time of just 9.8 seconds, firmly establishing it as one of the fastest contenders within its category.
Additionally, the diesel automatic variant delivers commendable fuel efficiency, with a rating of 16.2 kmpl.
