TRAVEL-TEC-BY-CARL-F.-BUCHERER

Flying around the world just got a little easier thanks to the Patravi TravelTec FourX, the latest addition to Carl F. Bucherer’s Patravi collection. Designed for globe-trotters and international businessmen, the TravelTec GMT is an invaluable tool for any frequent flier.

This skeletonized composite of 18K rose gold and high-tech ceramic is innovative not only because of the ease with which one can view three different time zones, but also the novel integration of the movement with the case.

Three time zones are displayed on the face of the watch, along with date, hour, minutes and mini seconds. While the local time and the second time zone are set by using a stem that moves the corresponding hour hands, the third time zone is set using a mono push button mechanism that turns the inner disk. Set the button to east or west (depending on which direction you are traveling) and push it until the rotating dial matches the correct time zone. If you’re not sure whether the hours are ahead or behind, just look on the back of the watch where all 24 time zones are engraved.

The 18K rose gold case features a screw-down crown and rubber pusher, a titanium monopusher, topped with a sapphire crystal (treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides). With a diameter of 46.6 mm and height of 15.5 mm, the Patravi TravelTec FourX is water resistant to a depth of 50 meters and includes a rubber strap with a clasp of rose gold.

The case of the Patravi TravelTec GMT is stainless steel for durability, and has a side window for viewing its movements. The face is protected by a sapphire crystal shield and is available in black or rhodium.

Using four different materials, palladium, titanium, ceramic and rubber, this model has a lot of functionality to display.
