Last Friday witnessed one of the most awaited evenings of the year i.e. Watch World Awards!
I have been following and covering this iconic event initiated by Mr. Mitrajit Bhattacharya since its inception and into its 6th year, they just keep taking it a notch higher. It would not be wrong on my part to say that this event surely steals all the glamour of the city and stores them at one forum for a night for all of us to consume!
Pretty faces, luxury brands, creative brains and vision to the future, all at one stage- where else would you find it?
As I entered into the soothing ambience of the event’s hospitality partner; Westin Gurgaon, I could sense the buzz of the event from the lobby area itself. The evening was beautifully curated and even better hosted by the ravishing anchor Pooja Yadav. But fashion, luxury and glamour was not the only source of entertainment for the night! Stand-up comedian Vasu Primlani set the stage literally on fire, as her 15 minute act got all in the audience chuckling aloud.
Dare I say, at one point of time I was feeling a bit weird with the volume of my friend’s laughter reaching to the centre of the stage!
Coming back to the event, Watch World Awards has surely established itself as an event to reckon with. Mr. Mitrajit Bhattacharya’s attempt to recognize the unsung heroes of this delicate art (Watch making), surely is one to appreciate. And the presence of large number of luminary guests apart from celebs like Yami Gautam, Nimrat Kaur and Pallavi Sharda, from different walks of the society proves the point.
Judged by acclaimed panelists including Antoine Simonin, Apoorva Lakhia, Raghavendra Rathore, Adhiraj Singh & Nitish Tipnis, the gala event saw the coming together of world’s leading watch brands and master watchmakers creating a larger-than-life platform of the horology ecosphere.
