Design and Quality
Nothing new! That’s what we would say about the exteriors of this new phone. But that doesn’t mean that it’s a regular-looking phone. Almost all smartphones these days look at each other’s brother from another mother. The metal/plastic body and design leaves very little to play with and the Le Max 2 is no different. With an all-metal unibody design and chamfered edges, the rear of LeEco Le Max 2 looks remarkably similar to HTC’s One M9.

It has a non-removable back panel paired with two antenna lines (one each at top and bottom) running across its width. It is also home to the protruding 21MP primary camera module, flanked by a dual-tone LED flash on the right.

Below the camera, you will find the fingerprint sensor, with LeEco’s logo etched on the center of the lower half of the back panel. While the front is an all-glass construction primarily dominated by the 5.7-inch IPS LCD display. What I like most is the black borders around the display that gives it a touch of finesse. It is powered with an 8MP front-facing camera, which will give you a chance to be at your best when it comes to clicking selfies.

The volume rocker and power button are placed on the right side, which is quite a standard design format with the dual-nano sim tray found home on the left-hand side. A USB Type-C port and speaker grille adorn the bottom, and an IR blaster sits on the top edge.

Display
5.7-inch Quad HD display of 1440×2560 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 515ppi makes for a strong display for LeEco Le Max 2. The crisp and sharp display makes video and still image viewing from all angles brilliant and flawless. But when it comes to sunlight legibility then you might have to increase the brightness a bit, but then that goes for almost all smartphones, so nothing to be concerned about here.

Hardware and Battery backup
LeEco Le Max 2 is powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 820 chipset, paired with a monstrous 6GB of RAM, which makes it Usain Bolt when it comes to performance on the run. Le Max 2 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow, topped with LeEco’s heavily customized eUI touch interface, resembling a lot like iOS.

There’s also 64GB of on-board storage, which is not expandable. But do you really need to?

The 3,100mAh battery is good to last about a day during normal usage, which is a fair enough output.
