Nikasha Tawadey, is known as a designer who loves expressing her appreciation towards art and beauty in a way that can be best described as surreal. And in what is her latest attempt to interpret traditional Indian silhouette in contemporary styles, she sets out to celebrate the spirit of playful femme fatale via a collection; Raat ki Raani, that she would be showcasing in the upcoming addition of Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week F/W’13.

Inspiration: The collection is inspired by the glamour and baroque style of 1920′s and is mixed well with the bohemian women of the 70′s. The joie de vivre of the jazz age mingles with the vibe of the disco era in a vibrant, energetic collection that reflects the flirtier side of the ‘Nikasha’ woman’s persona.
What you can expect: The brand is best known for its tradition of ‘contemporary Indian high prêt’ and as they say – why mess too much when you have made a reputation on something that people adore and are in love with? Keeping that in mind, this season, the house offers distinctive styles like sharara jumpsuits, choli-tanks, dhoti-skirts, mini-kurtas, sadri-waistcoats and kanjari-vests – modern interpretations of traditional and historic costumes – the new age in Indian fashion.
USP: True to her signature aesthetic, this collection explores Nikasha’s core work and goes further in-depth in the woman she likes to portray – experimental, empowered and sensual. Her rooted desi-ness is injected with a dose of glamour; the shapes are sexier, the embellishments are bolder, the mood is stronger.
