Man Shaving 1 Shaving Tips For Men For A Better Shaving Experience

Whether it is full stubble or whiskers, most men need to shave. However, while shaving can be a simple task, it can also be a tedious and painful experience if done improperly.

So, all I am saying is stop doing it the wrong way and stop the pain by using the following shaving tips for a better experience:

Always start by prepping

Most men don’t take the time to prep. They go straight to dragging their razor through their skin. Failure to prep causes friction which in turn leads to irritation, cuts, and razor burns. Always take time to prep for shaving and here are some of the things you can do:

Rinse your face with pre-shave soap and warm water. This removes the excess oil and the dead skin that may easily clog up your blades. Hot water moistens the hair for easier cutting.

Taking a hot shower before shaving will also help with the irritation. The hot water will soften the hair.
Alternatively, you can apply a hot moist towel to your face for a couple of minutes. This is a technique used by barbers and will work for you.

Not every shaving cream is good for you

Ustraa

A good shaving cream is defined as being rich and creamy and not foamy. The purpose of the creamy texture is to offer lubrication and also avoid wastage as less cream will be needed. The best cream will further moisturize your facial hair.
If you have sensitive skin, make sure you only buy the cream labeled ‘for sensitive skin’. This is by far one of the best ways to avoid irritation, razor burns, and cuts and ensure a clean shave. If I were you, I would check out the products available at Ustraa.

Invest in a good shaving brush

It is okay to spread the shaving cream with your hands but using a shaving brush will give more benefits in relation to smooth and clean shaves. The shaving brush does three crucial things:

Helps you spread the cream evenly to every strand of facial hair and raises the hair up for easy cutting. Removes dead skin cells, thereby reducing the risk of razor bumps, blemishes, and skin irritation after shaving. Creates a rich creamy lather as opposed to using the hand. The creamy lather lubricates the hair and the skin better.

Read the instructions

Prior to using any new brand of shaving cream for the first time, read through the instruction manual. This will help you understand how much cream is needed. You will also benefit from manufacturers’ recommendations.

Always use a sharp razor

Shaving is typically part of every man’s self-care routine. Even so, most guys fail to identify the type of razor that works best for them. If you’re looking for one that provides the premier shaving experience, go for a straight razor.

Besides being more durable than standard razors, straight razors are good for the skin as they provide gentle exfoliation. Plus, they don’t break the bank! A straight razor, when well-taken cared for, gives you a lifetime of shaves. Not needing to buy refills surely helps you save hundreds of dollars in the long run. Of course, you can only reap these benefits if you learn to use a straight razor properly.

A dull blade will cause itchiness and razor burns because of its traumatic effects. If you shave on a daily basis, the general rule is to have the cartridge or blade replaced after 5 to 10 shaves. But if you want something that can last you much longer then opt for Gillette Flexball.

Don’t shave against the grain

This point might be axiomatic but it is worth mentioning. Going against the grain simply means shaving in the opposite direction where the hair is growing. Doing this will cause irritation, increase the risk of razor cuts and cause bumps.

The six points will help you eliminate irritation from shaving. Other than that, take it easy when shaving.
